  • TTC to hold annual Accessible Transit Forum virtually
    September 30, 2020
    Tomorrow, Thurs., Oct. 1, the TTC will hold its annual Public Forum on Accessible Transit virtually to comply with COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Upcoming TTC subway closures
    September 24, 2020 - This weekend, Sat., Sept. 26 and Sun., Sept. 27, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Finch and Eglinton stations to allow TTC crews to continue installation of the upgraded ATC signalling system.
  • TTC Board to hold next virtual meeting on September 24
    September 18, 2020 - The TTC Board will hold its next virtual Board meeting on Thursday, September 24, 2020. The meeting will begin online at 10 a.m. and be streamed live on the Official TTC YouTube Channel.

    September 18, 2020 - The TTC Audit and Risk Management Committee will meet next week on Thursday, September 24. The meeting will begin online at 8 a.m. and be streamed live on the Official TTC YouTube Channel.
  • TTC recalls 132 more unionized employees to plan for a potential increase in ridership
    September 17, 2020 - TTC is recalling 132 additional unionized employees who were laid-off in April. The employees will return to work on Sun., Oct. 4.

    September 12, 2020 - The TTC celebrates recent state-of-good-repair upgrades and improvements to Glencairn Station, including a colourful new skylight.

    September 11, 2020 - Members of the media are invited to join The Honourable Marco Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship and Member of Parliament for Eglinton-Lawrence, His Worship Mayor John Tory and TTC CEO Rick Leary as they celebrate recent upgrades to Glencairn Station, including a colourful skylight featuring artwork by renowned artist, Rita Letendre, and new structural supports.

  • TTC's Line 3 to close for track maintenance this weekend
    September 9, 2020 - This weekend, Sat., Sept. 12 and Sun., Sept. 13, there will be no service on Line 3 Scarborough as TTC crews carry out essential track maintenance work. Periodic Line 3 closures are required as the TTC undertakes a complete life-extension rehabilitation of the tracks and vehicles to provide a more reliable and comfortable service.

    September 8, 2020 - The TTC is pleased to announce that it is operating the largest fleet of electric buses in North America. The milestone comes as the TTC’s third new electric bus model is now road ready and starting to go into service.
  • TTC puts third electric bus model into service
    September 7, 2020 - On Sept. 8, media are invited to join The Honourable Catherine McKenna, Federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, Toronto Mayor John Tory and TTC CEO Rick Leary as they celebrate the TTC’s third delivery of electric buses and newly installed charging infrastructure at the Eglinton Bus Division/Garage.
  • Subway service to end early on portion of TTC Line 1 Tues.-Thurs.
    September 4, 2020 - Tues., Sept. 8 through Thurs., Sept. 10, subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Sheppard-Yonge and Eglinton stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. for track maintenance and ATC signal upgrades.
  • TTC now accepting applications for accessibility advisory group
    September 3, 2020 - The TTC's Advisory Committee for Accessible Transit (ACAT) is now accepting applications to fill five positions for the next three years.
