Portion of TTC Line 2 to close next Tuesday through Thursday
November 1, 2019
The portion of Line 2 between St George and Woodbine stations will close at 11 p.m. next Tues., Nov. 5 through Thurs., Nov. 7 for track work.
Shuttle buses will run along Bloor St. and Danforth Ave., stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to the appropriate shuttle locations, which will vary from station to station. Bay, Chester and Sherbourne stations will be closed, but all others will remain open for access to Line 1, surface routes and fare sales.
Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the closure. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.
The TTC is also reminding customers that there will be no service on the portion of Line 2 between Victoria Park and Kennedy stations this weekend due to important track maintenance.
Replacement shuttle buses will run along the route and all stations will remain open for fare sales, access to surface routes and Line 3.
Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the weekend. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and maintenance upgrades.
The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
