TTC and Bombardier sign contract to build 204 new streetcars

The Toronto Transit Commission and Bombardier Transportation Canada Inc. today officially signed a contract for the manufacture and purchase of 204 new low-floor streetcars.

June 29, 2009 - The location of the TTC’s Scarborough Malvern LRT Open House, scheduled to take place today, Monday, June 29, has been moved to the Qssis Banquet Hall due to the City-wide strike that has closed all City of Toronto facilities, including the Scarborough Village Recreation Centre.
