Streetcar service advisory: 512 St. Clair and 505 Dundas routes
December 17, 2009
Streetcar service on St. Clair Avenue West – the 512 St. Clair route – will resume service between Bathurst Street and Lansdowne Avenue starting this Sunday, December 20.
With the return of streetcar service, the 512 St. Clair route will be served by streetcars traveling on the new right-of-way from St. Clair Station at Yonge Street to the Earlscourt loop at Lansdowne Avenue. A bus service will operate on St. Clair West between Keele Street (Gunns loop) and Oakwood Avenue until the completion of the St. Clair right-of-way and the resumption of streetcar service along the entire 512 route in 2010.
As well, starting this Saturday, December 19, the 505 Dundas streetcar will resume full service between Lansdowne and Ossington Avenues. The route was on diversion due to watermain work being carried out in the area. That work has been completed to a point that now allows streetcars to safely travel through the area.
