As part of the TTC’s continuing modernization efforts the turnstiles at the main entrance and high gates at the automatic entrances at Spadina Station will be replaced with new paddle-style fare gates.

Construction at the main entrance is scheduled to start on Sept. 18.

  • The collector booth and fare line into the station will be closed during construction.
  • Customers will be unable to purchase tickets, tokens or TTC passes from the collector booth at the station until the end of October.
  • Customers will enter the station through a temporary station collector.
  • A PRESTO card reader will be available beside the station collector during the construction.

Construction at the west automatic entrance is scheduled to start on Sept. 21. It will take until early November to complete.

  • The entrance will be closed from 11 p.m. Sept. 21 until early November.
  • Customer service representatives will be available on the platform to assist customers exit the station in the event of an emergency.
  • When construction is complete customers will only be able to access this entrance by TTC Pass or PRESTO card.

Construction at the Walmer Road automatic entrance is scheduled to start on Sept. 21. It will take until early November to complete.

  • The entrance will be closed from 11 p.m. Sept. 21 until the early November.
  • Customer service representatives will be available on the platform to assist customers exit the station in the event of an emergency.
  • When construction is complete customers will only be able to access this entrance with a PRESTO card.

Construction at the Kendal Avenue automatic entrance is scheduled to start on Sept. 25. It will take until the end of January 2018 to complete.

The entrance will be closed from 11 p.m. Sept. 25 until 6 a.m. Sept. 28.
When construction is complete customers will only be able to access this entrance by TTC Pass or PRESTO card.
