Welcome to Tara Bal, TTC’S new Head of Internal Audit

I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Tara Bal to the position of Head of Internal Audit. Tara officially started her new job with the TTC on June 20, 2016.

Previously, Tara worked as an audit partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she was responsible for providing assurance and business advisory services to her clients.

Tara holds a Masters of Accounting from the University of Waterloo and is a Certified Professional Accountant/Chartered Accountant.

Reporting directly to the CEO’s Office, Tara is responsible for leading the TTC’s Internal Audit Department in providing independent risk-based evaluations that are designed to add value and improve the TTC’s operations.

Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Tara to her new role at the TTC.

And thank you to Audit Manager Christine Leach for stepping in as Acting Head to such great effect in the interim.
