Dufferin Station gets finishing touches
Station modernization to include many upgrades, artwork
August 2009
Commissioners approved the final finishes and artwork for the Dufferin Station modernization project on July 9. Station finishes include new ceilings, floors, signage, lighting and furnishings. The upgrades also include landscaping, street furniture and an artwork concept, which incorporates digitally manipulated photographs taken of the existing station and surrounding environment.
Sheltered waiting areas, bike racks and a green roof will also enhance the subway experience for the more than 25,000 customers that use the station daily.
Station modifications are scheduled to be completed in April 2012.
