Subject: Member Replacement - Advisory Committee On Accessible Transportation

Recommendation

It is recommended that the Commission approve the appointment of Mr. William Brown to the Advisory Committee on Accessible Transportation (ACAT).

Background

In November 2000, a Selection Committee, comprised of representatives from the City of Toronto and ACAT, joined Commission staff in identifying candidates for membership on the Advisory Committee on Accessible Transportation. The Commission recently approved filling three (3) vacancies from this pool.
Since that time, another vacancy on ACAT has occurred and the Selection Committee recommends the appointment of William Brown to fulfil the remaining two (2) year term. Mr. Brown is a former ACAT Chair and active participant on various committees concerned with accessible transportation issues.
